Congress and Exhibition Office
Congress Registration CounterAll congress materials and documentation will be available at the congress registration counter located in Foyer C on the ground floor of the Lisboa Congress Center. The congress staff will be pleased to help you with all enquiries regarding registration, congress material and congress program. Please do not hesitate to contact the staff members if there is anything they can do to make your stay more enjoyable. During these opening hours the congress counter can be reached at: CME (Continuing Medical Education)This Congress is seeking for UEMS accreditation to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). Physicians and nurses will be accredited. EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, please contact the AMA (American Medical Association). The accreditation form for International Physicians is available on the AMA website: Technical ExhibitionA major technical exhibition will be organized in the Pavilions 4 and 5 of the Lisboa Convention Centre next to the main meeting rooms. Coffee bars and catering stations for lunch will be located in the vicinity of the technical exhibition. Potential exhibitors can requestexhibition material from the Exhibition Office, CPO HANSER SERVICE. Poster ExhibitionPosters will be sited in the Pavilions 4 and 5 where also the technical exhibition takes place, next to the main meeting rooms. Information regarding poster format, set-up and dismantling will be sent to the authors along with their notifi cation of acceptance. Congress LanguageThe Congress language is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided. Publication for ProceedingsThe European Society for Sexual Medicine retains the right to publish all material presented at the Congress in an ESSM publication. Final Program and Abstract BookThe ESSM will offer its members to view parts of the scientific schedule online through a web-based system from the ESSM homepage. Therefore several Coffee and lunch breaksCoffee and tea will be served during the morning and afternoon coffee breaks from Monday 26 November to Wednesday, 28 November 2007 free of charge to RestaurantsAn additional restaurant is located in the venue where participants can buy food and beverages. Various typical Portuguese restaurants and snack bars are within walking distance of the congress venue. CloakroomA cloakroom is available next to the registration counteron the ground floor. You can also store your luggage here. Lost and FoundA lost and found service is available at the Lisboa Congress Center Information located in the main entrance of the congress venue. |
Official Italian AgencyAIM CONGRESS - AIM Group Internet CentreSeveral Internet terminals are available to all delegates at the exhibition area at the Pavilion 5 of the Lisboa Congress Center. The Internet centre is accessible according to the opening hours of the exhibition. Wireless LanWireless LAN is installed from Monday, 26 November until Wednesday, 28 November in the exhibition area of Pavilion 4 and 5. A password is not required in order to access the wireless LAN. VisaAre not required for EU nationals. Nationals of Canada,New Zealand, Australia and the USA can stay for 90 days visa-free. Other nationalities need a visa and are requested to contact the local representation of the Portuguese Embassy. Being a member of the Schengen Agreement, business travellers from the Schengen group of nations can obtain a 90 day Schengen Visa when entering Portugal. Travel to LisbonLisbon airport is the city’s main international gateway and located in 15 km distance to the city centre and congress venue. The taxi fare from the airport to any of the congress hotels and congress venue is expected to be around EUR 20 within 20 minutes drive. Public Transportation PassUpon registration at the registration counter of the Lisboa Convention Center all participants will receive a public transportation pass valid for all public transportation during the congress period, i.e. from Sunday, 25 November 2007 through Wednesday, 28 November 2007. Most of the hotels available are located within 20 - 30 minutes transport time from the congress venue and there is an easy access to buses and underground transport in the city. Participants will receive the public transportation pass at the congress registration counter in exchange for a voucher, which is included in the delegates’ documents. InsuranceThe Congress fee does not include insurance. All participants should arrange for their own insurance. Health and accident insurance is recommended and has to be purchased in your country of origin. CurrencyThe official Portuguese currency is EUR. BankTwo ATM machines are located inside the Lisboa Congress Car ParkThe Lisboa Congress Center has two car parks with TaxisTaxis are available upon demand in front of the entrance of the Lisboa Congress Center. Participants can also call taxis at the Lisboa Congress Center information counter in the entrance foyer. ClimateLisbon is located in a temperate climatic zone with a Central European climate infl uenced by the Atlantic climate. In November the average daytime temperature is 15°C (63F°) and it slightly rains more than in other months. |
